Our Church Community

‘LOVE, PEACE, HOPE, TRUST’

Our Christian values of ‘Love, Peace, Hope and Trust’ are the foundation for the ethos and teaching in our academy and through our daily acts of worship and our distinctive Religious Education curriculum it enables the spiritual development of all.

We promote respect and responsibility for ourselves and each other through partnership with home, church and the wider community and together we promote realistic and challenging goals to enable all children to reach their full potential.

Our Academy was founded in 1841 by Mr William Yates, who donated land for the Church school to be built. As a Church Aided school we are part of the Lichfield Diocese  We are part of the ecumenical partnership and regularly visit Holy Trinity Church and The Christian Centre. Member of the clerical team visit our Academy on a weekly basis for morning worship.
